Floor Covering International is an excellent company for anyone looking for floor covering of any kind, including custom stairs carpet. From the initial contact to the finish, the service was spectacular. The owner himself came to the house, showing various materials and designs, and the installation about 3 weeks later was done meticulously and professionally. The owner came to to the house during installation to make sure everything was done properly. The price was competitive, and we are very happy with the carpet material and the work on our stairs. I highly recommend this place for floor remodeling.

We recently hired Floor Coverings International to transform our old, mid-century basement, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! They replaced our cold cement floor with beautiful, waterproof LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) and matching quarter-round trim. They also completely updated our old wooden staircase with gorgeous new wood treads and crisp white risers. The team’s attention to detail was incredible—they truly left no stone unturned and did a fantastic job cleaning up after the project was finished. If you're looking for new flooring, whether it's genuine hardwood or high-quality LVP, we highly recommend giving them a call!

Floor Coverings International of Northbrook delivered an exceptional experience from start to finish, and we could not be more thrilled with the results! From the very beginning, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. The design selection process was thorough and personalized, making it easy for us to find the perfect carpet for our main floor. We ultimately chose a beautiful, moisture-resistant, pet-friendly carpet that was exactly what we needed. Because our original carpet had experienced years of pet-related damage, this project required more than simply installing new flooring. The FCI team went above and beyond by sealing the plywood subfloor to help eliminate any residual odors and provide us with a fresh, clean foundation for our new carpet. We truly appreciated their attention to detail and commitment to doing the job the right way. Communication throughout the entire project was outstanding. We always knew what to expect, and every member of the team was responsive, courteous, and professional. The installation crew was especially impressive. They were friendly, respectful, meticulous, and extremely careful while moving our baby grand piano and heavy heirloom furniture. Their care and professionalism gave us complete confidence that our home and belongings were in excellent hands. The finished carpet is absolutely beautiful, and the quality of the installation exceeded our expectations. Everything looks fantastic, and we are extremely pleased with the entire experience. We would highly recommend Floor Coverings International of Northbrook to anyone looking for beautiful flooring, exceptional workmanship, and truly outstanding customer service. They went above and beyond for us, and we would gladly work with them again!

Larry came out to look at the back porch floor and steps, which were in very poor condition. From the moment he assessed the work, he was completely on board and confident about what needed to be done. He even took the extra step of researching which materials would perform best in a non temperature controlled back porch, and that level of care and knowledge really clinched it for me. After his visit, I didn’t even feel the need to call other contractors — his professionalism and clarity made the decision easy. The workers assigned to do the job did an awesome job as well: on time, clean, very professional, and clearly experienced. They knew exactly what they were doing, and the work was completed with skill and attention to detail. We love our back porch now! I recommend to anyone this company and ask for Larry.

Larry was very professional and explained the process and offered alternatives. His installers moved the furniture and put it all back in the correct place. They took care not to damage anything
